FAQ

Where do the treatments take place?

All treatments are carried out in the comfort of your own home.

Can I stay with my dog during the massage?

Yes, many dogs settle better with their owner present. Occasionally I may ask you to step out if your dog is finding it hard to relax — but we’ll always do what’s best for them.

Does my dog have to lie down for the whole massage?

No. Some dogs lie down and others don´t. If your dog is quite active please don´t worry. Techniques can be tailored to suit each individual dog and how they are positioned.

Dog massagehow long does a session last?

Initial consultations last around an hour. Subsequent sessions are approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour.

Are there any side effects?

Massage releases toxins into the body so for 24-48 hours after a massage your dog may be lethargic, restless, thirsty. They may lose their appetite or in some instances vomit. This is perfectly normal, it’s called the ‘healing crisis’ and it’s just the body trying to eliminate the toxins that have been released. Make sure your dog has plenty of fresh water to drink, reduce their exercise slightly and encourage plenty of rest.

Do I need to do anything before the massage?

Please make sure your dog has been to the toilet before the start of the massage and hasn´t eaten anything for approximately 2 hours.
